New SharePoint Feature

“We’re updating SharePoint list appearance and functionality as part of the modern SharePoint experience.
We’ll be gradually rolling this out in late November 2019. .
The rollout will be completed in early December 2019.

How does this affect me?

In 2016, we introduced a modern experience for SharePoint focused on extensibility, accessibility, and responsive design. However, classic mode remains supported and available.

We are introducing two new modern features for SharePoint lists.

First, users will be able to enable and disable column totals in the modern list user experience. Currently, that capability is limited to the classic mode.

Second, users will be able to create a document view for list data that features column formatting and/or alternating colors by row. This example shows both, with the edit panel highlighted.

What do I need to do to prepare for this change?

There is nothing you need to do to prepare for this change, but you might want to update your user training.
