When this will happen

We’ll be rolling this out to customers in early July 2020, and the roll out will be completed by end of July 2020.How this will affect your organization

These new features will enable Teams admins to easily assign policies to multiple users.

  • Batch policy assignment allows assignment of a policy to a list of users with a single command.
  • Group policy assignment allows assignment of a policy to a group, which then propagates to the members of the group, including users added to the group in the future.

What you need to do to prepare

This change provides new options for admins to easily assign policies to multiple users using the Teams PowerShell module. There are no changes to the existing methods of policy assignment.
