Microsoft 365 tenant global administrators and Office Apps Administrators will be notified about incidents affecting their users with a new right-side panel notification in Outlook for Windows.

This change is related to Microsoft 365 Roadmap 58085

When this will happen

This notification will show up in the Microsoft 365 Monthly Channel Targeted (Insiders Slow Channel) update for rolling out in late April and will likely take 3-4 weeks before it’s introduced to Production, Monthly Channel. How this affects your organization

A notification pane will open in Outlook for Administrators when an incident is created or resolved. The notification pane will contain information linking to the Service Health Dashboard in the Microsoft Office 365 Admin Center. It will remain open until the Admin closes it and can be retrieved by clicking a button in the Help tab. What you need to do to prepare

Administrators can choose to disable or block this feature by Group Policy or unchecking the Options Tab -> Advanced Tab -> Disable incident notifications in Outlook.
