New service plan for Content explorer

We’re making some changes to how the data classification content explorer is provisioned in your tenant. Content explorer will be part of a new service plan: Content Explorer. Content explorer was previously included as part of the Exchange Online service plan.

When will this happen

We will roll out this change on September 29, 2020.How this will affect your organization:

You are receiving this message because your Microsoft 365 or Office 365 license enables access to the data classification content explorer dashboard and feature set. This update will not change your content explorer experience, or impact any other parts of your admin portal. What you need to do to prepare:

When this change takes effect, please make note of the new service plan name for your administrative records and ensure that you update any relevant provisioning documentation as needed.
