The new Site performance page helps site owners and editors discover and use the Page Diagnostics for SharePoint tool to improve page health. The new Site performance page can be accessed on the home page of any modern communication site, modern team site, or hub site in the settings panel and will display the results for the home page of the site.

When this will happen:
The Site performance page will start rolling out in early November and will be available to all to modern SharePoint Site owners and editors by the end of December.How this will affect your organization
The Site performance page will equip site owners and editors will more tools and information to make page performance improvements. Using the Page Diagnostics tool for SharePoint enables users to create performant pages and improve the viewing experience.
When site owners and editors access the Site performance page for the first time, instructions will be available on how to download the Page Diagnostics for SharePoint extension. Then, site owners and editors can run the diagnostics tool on SharePoint pages to determine high-impact and medium-impact opportunities to improve page performance and promote overall site health
After the Page diagnostics for SharePoint tool extension runs, specific page health related details and tasks will be displayed in order of impact. The Page Diagnostics for SharePoint tool can run diagnostics on published and draft version of pages so users can compare versions to determine if page health is improving. Site owners and editors may need to partner with administrators to solve some page performance improvements.
What you need to do to prepare
You do not need to do anything to prepare. This is an optional feature that will be available to site owners and editors under site settings on modern SharePoint sites. If users decide to use the diagnostics tool, they can follow the instructions in the Site performance page or review the help guidance. Site owners and editors may need to partner with administrators to solve some page performance improvements.
