FROM MICROSOFT CORPORATION

“We are rolling out updates to Office 365 Message Encryption (OME) that enhance the authenticity of OME email.

  • We’ll be gradually rolling this out starting the end of March 2020.
  • The roll-out will be completed by the end of April 2020

Currently OME mail contains a link to a Microsoft privacy statement.

With this update, you will be able to customize the link in the OME branding template so that it references your organization privacy statement. Your OME emails will direct users to a default privacy statement provided by Microsoft should you choose not to link to a customized privacy statement.

What do I need to do to prepare for this change?

We highly recommend that you add your organization privacy statement to every OME branding template in your tenant(s) once this feature is available.

When this feature is available, you will need to edit the custom branding template only if you wish to customize the default link. Click the image to enlarge.
