Updated December 03, 2021: We have updated the rollout timeline below. Thank you for your patience.
This enhancement to the Play My Emails feature of Outlook Mobile identifies Spotlight Emails (emails deemed important) and prioritizes them to be read first before other email from the inbox.
- Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 85570.
- Timing: mid-November through the end of January (previously end of November)
- Roll-out: tenant level
- Control type: admin control
- Action: review and assess
How this will affect your organization:
Customers who listen to emails in Play My Emails on Outlook Mobile may, on occasion, experience a change to the order in which emails are read. Emails that may require the user to take action will be played first.
Note: No email content is transmitted or stored outside of your organization.
What you need to do to prepare:
You might want to notify your users about this new capability and update your training and documentation as appropriate.
This is rolling out default on. This feature can be disabled by tenant admins by setting the following cmdlet to false:
- Set-OrganizationConfig -MessageHighlightsEnabled $true
